The egg

One of the large-scale works Langton carves, photographed on its plinth and on the move.

Langton carves monumental garden sculptures of around two metres, and he carves to commission at any scale. The egg is one of these large works: a dark, polished form set on a stone plinth.

The photographs follow it from the plinth to the move. Langton chooses each block by hand, then carves and polishes it himself.
